Mr. Richard Gerald Whited, age 86, of Murray, Kentucky died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.
Mr. Whited was born on April 1, 1930 in Hartsville, Tennessee to the late William Alexander Whited and Novie Piercey Whited. He was a retired Operating Superintendent with the Murray Electric System. Mr. Whited was Army veteran of the Korean War and was of the Missionary Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Whited was preceded in death by one son, Richard "Ricky" Gerald Whited, Jr.; one sister, Nerma Alberta Gregory; and a great grandchild, Cheyenne Harrell.
Survivors include five daughters, Debbie Munday and husband Randy of Murray, Sheri Latimer and fiancé Dwain "JR" Ross of Murray, Teri Kelly and husband Shawn of Hickory, Kentucky, Diane Whited of Murray and Angela Richerson and husband Kevin of Murray; one son, Elic Whited and fiancé Gretchen Butts of Paducah, Kentucky; one sister, Mary Lee Furkis of Wisconsin; one brother, William "Bill" Whited of Glasgow, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren, Felecia Dawn Thornton, Jimmy Harrell, Jennifer Gagliardi and husband Geno, Melissa Henson and husband Ronald, Brian Wilson, Renae Rohrs, Thomas Wilson and wife Whitley, Cody Latimer and wife Gretchen, Lacey Latimer, Derrick Lewis, Tanner Richerson and wife Amanda and Taylor Richerson; thirteen great grandchildren, Faith Thornton, Dylan Harrell, Gavin Lawrence, Rylee Gagliardi, Peyton Gagliardi, Brennan Harrell, Reyce Henson, Dalton Rohrs, Jack Wilson, Luke Wilson, Anni Wilson, Rylee Latimer and Oliver Latimer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Ryan Baker will officiate and burial will follow with full military honors provided by the American Legion Post #73 in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
