Funeral services for Randolph Lynn Story, 85, of Glendale Place, formerly of Story Ave., are scheduled for 10 a.m. this morning, Saturday, Aug. 14 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Severns officiating. Entombment to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.

Active Pallbearers will be Ralph Story, Richard Story, Mitchell Johnson, Arthur Bailey, Jr., Chris Bailey, Dale Thomason, Robert Trenholm, Keith Wright and Rex Galloway. Honorary pallbearers will include members of the Pathfinders Sunday School Class from Memorial Baptist Church

Story died at 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010 at Glendale Place in Murray.

He was born in Calloway Co. Aug. 29, 1924 to the late Festus Lynn Story and Donnye Dell Davidson Story. He retired from the Murray Post Office. An Army Veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Story was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Story, who died on Sept. 3, 2003.

He is survived by three daughters, Nancy Lynn White and husband, Richard of Green Cove Springs, Fla., Linda G. Hastings and husband, Truman of Tiline, and Sue Ann Hancock and husband, Tyrone of White Plains; two sisters, Sara Johnson of Murray and Anna Bailey and husband Art of New Concord; one brother, J.R. Story and wife Evelyn of Murray; five grandchildren, Shalin Prince, Tyrone Hancock, Jr., Tara Johnson, Amanda Monroe, and James Lassiter, also six great-grandchildren survive.
