Monette Blackford

Mrs. Monette (Barham) Blackford, age 82, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Blackford was born in Fulton County, Kentucky on June 20, 1936 to the late Wille Morris Barham, Sr. and Allie Mai (Taylor) Barham. Mrs. Blackford retired from Bellsouth Telephone Company. She was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church and a member of the AT&T Telephone Pioneers. Mrs. Blackford had a love of crocheting, as well as teaching others the craft.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blackford was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Blackford; one sister, Mary Bondurant; two brothers, James Thomas Barham and Willie Maurice Barham, Jr.; one step daughter, Sherry Harmon; and by a step granddaughter, Emily Blackford.
Mrs. Blackford is survived by three step daughters, Rebecca Wright and husband Dan of Murray, Lisa Cox and husband Billy of Murray and Robyn Looper and husband Chad of Mayfield, Kentucky; one step son, Wayne Blackford and wife Susan of Murray; one sister, Carolyn Faulkner of South Fulton, Tennessee; 12 step grandchildren, Aaron Noffsinger and wife Jen, Ashley Noffsinger, Samantha Bowland and husband Aaron, Lyndsey Looper, Will Blackford and wife Kristy, Elizabeth Morse and husband Matt, Joe Ben Hendrick, Matt Hendrick, Margaret Hendrick, Gabe Clark, Quentin Cox and Cheri Beth Malloy; as well as 8 step great-grandchildren, Hannah Hendrick, Faith Hendrick, Caleb Noffsinger, Emily Noffsinger, Hank Morse, Fitz Blackford, Brianna Malloy and Bailey Malloy.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Rob Ison officiating. Entombment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
