Mary Grace "Granny" Bynum, 87, of Murray, Ky., died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.
Mrs. Bynum was born in Murray, March 9, 1925, to the late Tommy Lee and Rosie Dalton Lee. Mrs. Bynum was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bynum was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bynum, who died in 1988; two sons, Raymond Bynum and James Happy Bynum; one granddaughter, Debbie Thomas; as well as one sister and six brothers.
Mrs. Bynum is survived by one daughter, Lisa Meadows and husband, Larry, of Paducah; one son, Harold Bynum and wife, Mary Rose Bynum, of Murray; 11 grandchildren, Teresa Bast, Jimmy Bynum, Patty Dedmon, Kathy Coles, Scotty Bynum, Bridgette Ray, Gina Hurst, Kim Evans, Chris Bynum, Landon Meadows and Lyndsey Meadows; 20 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; two daughter in laws, Kathryn Bynum, of Murray and Sandra Bynum, of Almo; and two special friends, Glinda Jeffrey and Sarah Nell McNutt, both of Murray.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Jones and the Rev. Tommy Clendenen officiating. Entombment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
