Mrs. Marge Martin, age 89, a former resident of Murray, Kentucky died Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Three Rivers Medical Center, Grants Pass, Oregon.
Mrs. Martin family emigrated from the Ukraine to Canada and she was born May 7, 1927 on the family farm in Alberta, Canada to the late Harry P. Lutzuk and Anne Severns Lutzuk. She was a police volunteer for Lodi Police in California and a long time hospital volunteer in Oakdale, California, Murray, Kentucky and Pleasanton, California. She went to Disneyland for the first time at age 81 and had a great time. She traveled to Holland by herself at 79 and took a fantastic cruise to Alaska with family. She was a mother and homemaker and enjoyed her beautiful flower garden and was an accomplished seamstress and loved to do puzzles. She will be remembered for her witty sense of humor and her smiles for everyone.
She is survived by her three daughters, Carol and husband Ralph, Judy and her husband Chris, and Patty; one son, Bill; seven grandchildren, Shanna, Samantha, David, Travis, Larissa, Mandy and Melissa and several great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2:30pm Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Murray Memorial Gardens and friends may visit the family from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Friday at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home.
