Mrs. Kathleen V. Young, age 77, of Paducah, Kentucky, died Sunday, June 17, 2018 at her home.
Mrs. Young was born in Laconia, New Hampshire on March 4, 1941 to the late Frederick Michael Maguire and Hazel (Paul) Maguire. Mrs. Young was a home maker and veteran of the United States Navy. She was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky and attended the Gospel Mission Tabernacle in Golconda, Illinois.
Mrs. Young is survived by her husband, Jessie B. Young, of Paducah, Kentucky, to whom she married on June 26, 1964; her children, Michael Young and wife Sherry of Kansas City, Missouri, Chris Young of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Jenny Green and husband Tim of Golconda, Illinois and Beverly Harvey and husband Tommy of Rincon, Georgia; one brother, Dennis Maguire of Murray, Kentucky; as well as nine grandchildren, Jessica Cheney, Shannon Hunter and husband Derek, Jesse Winchester, Jason Green, Emily Green, Savannah Young, Lucy Winchester, Colin Young and Titus Green; three great-grandchildren, Riley Cheney, Caden Cheney and Oliver Hunter; as well as special friends, Shawn Young of Atlanta, Georgia and Michelle Gaither of Birmingham, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Jerrell White officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
