John Watson

September 7, 1914 — November 4, 2008

John B. Watson, 94, Canterbury Drive, Murray, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at 11 p.m. at his home.
A retired farmer and business man, he was a member of Goshen United Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death were one grandchild, Steve Gilbert, son-in-law, Bill Daugherty, one sister and four brothers. Born Sept. 7, 1914, in Graves County, he was the son of the late Hollie Watson and Winnie Hendricks Watson.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes Kemp Watson, to whom he was married Jan. 14, 1938; three daughters, Jackie Daugherty and Sue Anne Hutson and husband, Ronnie, all of Murray, and Shelia Baldridge and husband, Dwain, Salem, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Denice Reed, Pueblo, Colo., Don Bert Gilbert, Murray, Deidre Thompson, Loganville, Ga., Clint Hutson, Mason, Ohio, Rachel Barnett, Nashville, Tenn., and Jacob and Whitney Baldridge, both of Salem; 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Earheart will officiate. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Friday.
