Janice Shelton Meadows, 52, of Murray, Ky., died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Born Dec. 11, 1958, in Calloway County, she was a 1977 graduate of Calloway County High School, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Murray. She worked as a child care supervisor.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Brandon.
She is survived by one daughter, April Leann Meadows, of Murray; her parents, V.L. and Billie White Shelton; two sisters, Joni Beard, and husband, Joe, of New Concord, and Diane Scott, of Hazel.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. The Rev. Tim Cole will officiate and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
