Guthrie Grogan

The funeral for Guthrie Irvan Grogan will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Randall Kuykendall will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jody, Johnnie, Jeff and James Gallimore, Mike Lovins and Kevin Wilson. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Friday). Expressions of sympathy may be made to a favorite charity.
Mr. Grogan, 101, Tom Taylor Road, Murray, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at 5:45 p.m. at his home. He was a member of Sinking Springs Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his first wife, Estelle Outland Grogan, his second wife, Hinda Kay Wilson Grogan, eight sisters and four brothers. Born April 18, 1907, in the Pottertown community, he was the son of the late Irvan J. Grogan and Muzetta Andrew Grogan.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Lovins, Charlotte Wilson and husband, Paul, and Gail Gallimore and husband, Jimmy, all of Murray; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
