Dr. James Lipford

Dr. James H. Lipford, age 82, of Murray Kentucky, died Friday, July 02, 2010 at 3:40 am at his home. He was born in Whiteville, TN, June 9, 1928, to the late Charlie and Lucy Avant Lipford. He was a retired minister, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church; there he was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lipford is preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
He is survived by wife, Marie Lipford of Murray, daughter, Sharon McGrew and husband Danny of Murray, KY, son, Dee Lipford and wife Kathy of Murray, KY, 4 grandchildren, Daniel and Tiffany McGrew of Murray, KY, Tony Lipford and wife Carrie of Atwood, TN, and Tabatha DiNoble and husband Jason of IL, five great grandchildren also survive, Iassac, Allie, and Gracie Lipford, Jadon and Hannah DiNoble.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Lipford and Bro. Rob Ison officiating. Eulogies will be by family members. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 5, 2010 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 a.m. until funeral hour on Tuesday at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.
