MURRAY, Ky. - Services for Bernard Starks, 83, of Almo will be at 10 a.m. Monday at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Virgil Hale officiating. Burial will be at Murray Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Starks died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at his home.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a farmer and a retired operator for Airco Carbide in Calvert City. Mr. Starks was a member of Hickory Grove Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Starks; two daughters, Carolyn Johnson of Sparta, Ill., and Yvonne Pruitt of Murray; one son, Jimmy Starks of Almo; two sisters, Velda Linn and Glenda Murphy, both of Murray; two brothers, Neal Starks of Murray and J.B. Starks of Kirksey; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. His parents were Howell Starks and Mary Darnell Starks.
