DEXTER, Ky. - Columbus Waldrup, 77, of Dexter died at 1:43 a.m. Saturday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Waldrup was a member and deacon of Friendship Church of Christ. He retired from Tappan and was employed as a painter.
Surviving are his wife, Jerry Sue Bookhout Waldrup; two daughters, Donna Wright of Atlanta and Denna Colley of Murray; two stepdaughters, Sheri Oliver of Eddyville and Tammy Holsenback of Benton; one stepson, Tracy Walter of Hollow Rock, Tenn.; one brother, John Waldrup of Indianapolis; two sisters, Naomi Wilson of Indianapolis and Ella May Hensley of Inman, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dee Bogard Waldrup, and five brothers. His parents were Roy and Lela Morris Waldrup.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home in Murray with John Dale officiating. Burial will be at Murray Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
